Matthew Morris

Matthew established Bray Lloyd having spent 13 years recruiting senior management positions across a variety of industries. Previously he spent five and a half years with an international search firm that specialised in infrastructure within the financial services sector. He has completed search and consulting projects in investment & corporate banking, asset management and wealth management in the UK, United States and Asia. He has in depth functional expertise across infrastructure and extensive experience of front office roles within corporate and transaction banking. Matthew’s early career was spent in finance with Ernst & Young and Hertz. He holds an economics degree from Exeter University.

Alec McCann

Alec has spent the last 12 years recruiting senior risk management professionals. In 1999, taking some of the technical experience gained in banking, he joined a large international financial services recruiter to run the risk management team. After five years he moved to a well known executive search boutique to lead the risk practice, working on senior level assignments for a portfolio of top tier banks and other financial services businesses.  Alec joined Bray Lloyd in December 2010 to spearhead their growth in the field of risk management specialising in credit and market risk. Alec started his career with SBC Warburg’s risk management team before moving to Credit Suisse to cover bullion trading and SIMEX related projects in Sydney and Singapore. He holds a degree in geography and management studies from Leeds University.

James Walton

James spent the first six years of his career in the financial services sector as one of the founders of an asset finance firm. There he gained extensive commercial experience of asset based lending to corporate and SME clients. After selling his stake in the business in 2005 he joined a boutique executive search firm specialising in the provision of senior finance professionals to the capital markets sector. Since 2005 he has delivered on a number of senior positions in financial and product control, accounting policy, regulatory and FP&A.  James joined Bray Lloyd in December 2010 to continue developing the business’ offering within the field of financial management. James is a graduate of Newcastle University and has a post graduate qualification in law.

Martin Dowson

Martin heads our audit practice and has over 15 years of recruitment experience across corporate governance and financial management. He has experience across a range of financial services, professional services and global industrial clients and has recruited numerous head of audit and head of risk positions across these sectors. Prior to joining Bray Lloyd he spent three years running a dedicated corporate governance search firm which he co-founded.  Earlier in his career Martin was a practice head with Korn/Ferry International, led a team at Michael Page and initially trained in audit with Coopers & Lybrand. Martin holds a degree in economics.

Simon Keating

Simon heads our corporate governance practice with a primary focus on senior roles within compliance, internal audit and regulatory functions.  He has 15 years of recruitment experience, having worked for both boutique and global executive search firms in risk, audit, compliance and regulatory arenas. Prior to joining Bray Lloyd he spent three years running a dedicated corporate governance search firm which he co-founded.  He holds an MSc from Cranfield University.
